I have a 2002 venture. It was idling for a few minutes when I noticed smoke from under the hood. I turned off the van for a few minutes started it up again and it worked fine for about a week. Again happened today. I was stopped waiting for a train to pass (a few minutes) and smoke again. I turned off the engine for a few minutes then started it up again and drove home fine. Why is this happening? Will take it in for service on Monday but wanted to use the van over the weekend. But, I don't want to be stranded either. Advice truly appreciated and happy New Year. Not so happy for me....

 

When was the last time you put oil in the motor? Or filled any fluids?
