Default Venture Surging Up Hills

Ok, I know no one has had it I guess, but when I go up hills my venture seems to surge, like it want's to shift into a different gear, but can't, but when I press my break (enough to put pressure, but not enough to engage the break and turn off the cruise), it shifts into a different gear, and then kicks back down after the ride is over, it even surges while driving, after the car is heated up, it never does it while the engine is cold.

Anyone got any ideas?

Welp I actually figured it out, it's got to do with the over drive, and how it won't kick out of it, so I need some help, is there anyway to make an Overdrive Kill Switch, if I make one of those, it should work.

Doesn't anybody else think so, telling it when and when not to go into overdrive, say like in town, and on the highway.

Try shifting down to 2nd to keep it from shifting into overdrive.

My 1997 Chevy Venture does the same. I don't think it was designed to automaticly shift down out of OD.

*facepalm* Ok, a transmission that is Designed to have overdrive, HAS to have a kick down cable to shift out of overdrive. Because if it didn't, say you go straight from highway to city, if the over drive didn't shut off or (kick out of), it would tear up, so a transmission has to ALWAYS shift out of overdrive.
