where is this thermosate

i all ways remember the thermostate being on top of the engine but someone told me it's on the bottom. can someone tell me where to look for this thing......thanks 2001 ventura

Follow your top rad hose to the drivers side of the engine... it is in the housing there..... good luck getting at it without some major dissasembly...
