Hello! I have been researching the volt and have enlisted a local car dealership to help me find a used model. The dealership is steering me away from a volt, saying that maintenance is tricky and would need to be done at a dealership and that I would be better served with a Prius with regenerative braking. I thought that at least some volt models have regenerative braking? I have not had a chance to speak to an actual volt owner and would like to hear opinions on whether I am barking up the wrong tree with my desire to purchase a volt…

Looks to me like the Chevy Volt has regenerative braking that kicks in when you let off the gas pedal: The Volt is one great looking Chevy. If I didn't already own a sweet 2015 Chevy Malibu, I might have bought a Volt: Here is more information from General Motors:
