1991 Cherolet Corsica LT 2.2 liter TBI
I purchased corsica in 1999. This is a very good travaling car.Very Inexpensive to own and maintain. Very reliable vehical. Amazingly fast, when given a little help.vA sleeper if not dressed up.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
2.2 liter TBI. Ignition has been upgraded, 40,000 Volt output coil's from JEGS. MSD 8.8 blue Heli coil wires. Bosch Fusion Iridium Spark plug's. Modified air induction to enclude, K&N AirCharger cone Filter adapted to air intake. I use 104 fuel additive with premium Shell fuel. Octane rating somewhere around 104.
Suspension Modifications:
Rear Sway bar kit. Rear pair of Monroe shock's. Neoprene sway bar bushing's front and rear.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Primewell 205 70 14's T rated tires. Cleaned, waxed and polished steel rim's.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
I removed the rear seat and related hardware to reduce wieght. I removed all the sound deadening material,Everything else except for the spare tire and jack. The back of the car is painted semi-gloss black, as a anti-glare for head lights of cars at night. The frot left and right fenders have the sticker's from the tuneup parts used. They are applied neatly behind the front wheel's. The top of the car is painted flat primer red. The front got a LaBra treatment.
Future Modifications:
The ENGINE!!!!!!! I would like to install a Jasper High performance engine. The car is meant strickly for economical dependable transportation. A rear functional spoiler.
