2008 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 2500HD with Z71 4x4 package, Duramax Diesel, Allison 6 speed Automatic Transmission and OEM Trailer Towing Package.

With the powerhouse Duramax and Allison combination, who needs to make modifications?

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Exterior modifications were the result of our trip to the Calcite Mine..Scratches on our mirrors from rubbing against the rock walls (when they were pulled in), scratches on the body from angry Occotillo Cactus and dented running board from bottoming out on a high rock along the trail. Oh yea, we did add running boards and camper shell.
Future Modifications:
We bought the truck to be a workhorse towing our travel trailer as well as to do some Desert and Mountain off-roading. No modifications are planned except maybe a 2"-4" lift and MT tires that are designed for muddy, rocky and sandy terrain..anyone else had their stock 2500 Crew Cab to the Calcite Mine in Anza-Borrego State Park lately?
