2014 Chevrolet Sonic LT at The Fuge
I picked up my 2014 Sonic LT, 1.8 L, Automatic on Tuesday 10/14/13 at Lafferty Chevrolet, Warminster, Pa. I had ordered it right after Labor Day, so it took 6 weeks to be delivered.
I parked in front of the old Centrifuge Building at the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center, Warminster, Pa.
So it was, in August of 1959 that the Mercury Seven Astronauts came to Johnsville to begin their training in the called "dreaded" Johnsville Centrifuge.
The base was closed in the 1990s and most of its operations were transferred to Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.
