LS6 engine in Suburban

LS6 engine in Suburban
Hi.
Is it possible to put (and mount) a LS6 engine into my Chevy Suburban 1979?
There is a manual gearbox in it, a 4 speed (L + 1 + 2 + 3, the L gear is unsynchronized) some people call it "the truck gearbox".
Does the LS engines fit to the gearbox?
And do I have to install some heavy duty clutch between those two, that powerful engine and that gearbox?
