2007 Air intake, exhaust add-ons
Hey all, I'm new to this forum and I've had my Silverado(5.3 L, LTZ, 4x4)for about4 months now, and I'm pretty pleased with the overall performance of the truck. I had a few questions on some add-ons I want toput on it. How would you rate the current air intake system on this truck? Is it worth upgrading the intake, and what manufacturer would you prefer?
Also, I want more of a mean rumble from my truck, and am looking to install (not myself), an exhaust system. I browsed the GM accessories store, and saw a few choices, but am still undecided on which one I want. Any recommendations?

RE: 2007 Air intake, exhaust add-ons
Isn't the NBS Silverado amazing. I'm coming from a '99 Yukon and the new GMT platform is great. One the intake, I'd only do it if you like the look/sound. A lot of people like the GMPP CAI kit, it's not cheap though and really only adds HP at High RPM/Full throttle.
The exhaust, on the other hand, help the motor breathe better and you get that nice aggressive sound! I have the Votec MAX motor and you can hear the intake more than the exhaust. I've seen a lot of Magnaflow here in SoCal, maybe because they are based here? They sound and look great. I had a Gibson system on my '99 but I'm not impressed. There are much better systems out there. You might also take a look at companies like Corsa, Zoomers, etc.
