Default 98 chevy 5.7L 2500 Stalls while driving

My truck will stall/die while driving down the road, at idle, when stopping at random or whenever. Sometimes it doesn't do it for days. When it dies it gives no code. its just like it turned off. only signal i get is no more engine noise and forward movement. I put it in neutral or park (depending on the situation) and it wont turn over right away. It takes a couple seconds but then it starts and runs fine until the next time. I seen on other forums were it was fuel inline filter. I replaced that. Cleaned the air intake system. The butterfly valve and intake was pretty black but is all shiny clean now. Please help I cant keep throwing money at this thing but I love this truck.

I have a Tahoe 5.3 L V8 I am experiencing similar issues, I seem to be able to drive fairly good at night (cool weather) but during the day it seems to stall more often. However I can drive it during the day and not have any issues unless I press hard on the accelerator. I was told vacuum leak in the intake system but I think if it was vacuum it would happen every time I press hard on the accelerator but I only have this with the engine in a fairly warm state. My MPG has gone from bad to terrible my computer is calculating 12 MPG. I have DTC errors P0171 & P0174.

I have done the following and no solution yet.

- changed Fuel filter.
- changed air filter.
- cleaned MAF sensor.
- returned to Chevy gas cap (had a lockable cap).
- new AC Delco platinum plugs.

I just bought a bosch GM fuel pump which I will change out tonight and hopefully come back with positive results. I will also try to clean the throttle body.

That doesn't seem like the same issue. Mine will do this even upon first starting it, cold in the morning backing out of the driveway. Also I wish it would throw a code at least I would have something pointing me in the right direction. My problem is quite random. also I don't have a computer that tells me my mpg.

Ignition switch. Not the lock cylinder but the switch. Pretty common on 98's

I looked into that but none of the gauges drop or stop working.
