Installing after market radio wiring help
I recently bought a cheap XOVision 103 radio, probably a mistake, but I tried installing today on my silverado, a 2004, I removed my old radio and everything, I need help figuring out which wire goes to which, I have both diagrams, I'm confused on the Silverados 2 orange wires.

I recently had a Sony DVD receiver installed in my 2011 and they used an adapter that went in-between the factory harness and the and the new receiver - they also used a Chrysler antenna adapter for the antenna.

Where are you seeing the two orange wires? And are you talking about the aftermarket harness or the factory wiring? With the harness you should not have to cut/splice/otherwise modify the factory wiring. You just need to wire together the aftermarket harness and the leads going to the aftermarket radio.

The two orange wires are where the STOCK radio was, I had cut the stock radios harness and put the new one with the stock wires according to the diagram. One orange wire is thinner, by the way my new radio does not turn on with the basic stuff like ground and ignition, etc, but I didn't connect the sound.

I hope this doesn't sound all "Emily Latella", but @2000-2001 GM started
eliminating the radio position on the ignition switch. Most new aftermarket
radios need not only a wiring plug adapter, but also a "dataport adapter"
IIRC. When I got my new head unit a few years ago, it ran about 110$.
