1999 Suburban K2500HD Starting Problem
This is my first time using this forum, so I hope I've posted correctly
My Suburban starts immediately every time when the engine is cold. However, once it warms up, it needs to crank multiple times before it starts. I've changed the fuel pressure regulator, the fuel pump and all related filters. I've also changed the plugs, wires, coli, rotor and distributor cap, but I still have the problem. The vehicle exhibits no other issues and there are no diagnostic codes showing. Any suggestion? Thanks, Ed

Try stepping on the gas pedal and see if hot start improves. If so then it may be a leaking injector. Leak down test would confirm.
Old style 5.7 motor ? I had to replace the spider injector assy. in my old '99 Yukon 5.7

Thanks. I changed out the coolant sensor and crankshaft sensor today, and the problem continues. I have the 7.4L big block engine. The only thing left to try s the injectors/spyder.
