Default replacing accelerator pedal position sensor?

03 tahoe 4.8 v8 auto ls 2wd, if you change the accelerator pedal position sensor does it have to calibrated by the dealer or is it a sensor swap out? Thanks Guys

good question, guess you could keep the old one on hand if it turns out to need programing but I would think it would not need to be..
What are the symptoms that you need to replace it?
