Tank replace compatible interchange Vitara
There's an unanswered thread about this already, so I figured I should post anew.
Need a new Tracker tank, mine's leaking on a seam.
I'd prefer to not braze/weld it if possible (not as simple as a motorcycle tank).
2002, 4dr, 2.0, Canadian build.
Is there a specific model/config. of the Vitara which might have the same tank as 2nd gen. Trackers? Seems like someone must know!
I've found the fuel tank/system fiche to be identical between Tracker/Vitara more than half of the time, but it's not something I trust.
Sure, there's a dealer with the GM tank online, would be ~600.
Tracker Gen 1 tanks I've seen brand new are only 60-90 shipped!
Hundreds of Vitara tanks on Ebay/salvage sites for ~200, while only 0 Tracker tanks on Ebay, and few salvaged.
BTW: I'm in Maine, not a good source of unrusted salvage parts around here!

suzuki tank vitara xl-07, grand etc correct years at least: 197-59217

-nalleygmc fiches I use so far: 91176536 "EXC Mexico". bing finds 38 results.
or 91176534 just says "Mexico" tho looks as if works ALSO with Canadian, considering above table. bing finds 125 results.
although both of those #s say works in the 99-00 S10 pickup 2wd, if I view parts for the s10 manually, shows only 91176534 listed -however specifies Mexico. S10 was probably only made in Mexico.
