2025 Chevrolet Silverado lineup

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado models are largely carried over from 2024 with a couple new colors and standard features.

The Silverado got a major redesign in 2019 and a refresh in 2022. So, you would probably expect that things stay relatively the same for the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado trucks. And you would be correct. But that doesn’t make the Silverado any less appealing as it is already a great truck. It is as capable as ever, looks great and retains that fantastic 6.2L V8 engine. With 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, that is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 available in its class. And while that engine may stay the same, there are a few minor changes for the 2025 model year that you should know about.

There are two new colors that will be available on the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado. Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue are the new additions. Also new are available 20-inch High Gloss Black wheels. For the new model year Chevrolet also added a few more standard features across the model range. Cruise control is now standard on the Work Truck (WT) trim. On LT trim and higher, the trucks will get a Trailer Brake Controller standard. And on the top ZR2 trim Premium Audio and Front and Rear Park Assist are now standard equipment.

Silverado Engine Recap

Duramax Diesel

While there is not a lot new on the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado, now would be a good time to remind you of some of the engine highlights for the best-selling vehicle in the Chevrolet lineup. We already mentioned the 6.2L V8 but there is another outstanding engine choice. That would be the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel. This engine makes 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque and comes standard on the ZR2 model. It has an EPA-rated 624 miles of range. All trucks from the WT to LT get the 310 horsepower and 430 foot-pound of torque TurboMax engine as standard. The LTZ and High Country get a 5.3L V8 as the standard powerplant. RST and higher trims have the aforementioned 6.2L V8 available as an option.

Other Highlights

towing

Besides the strong engine lineup, there are many other key highlights with the Silverado. Super Cruise driver assistance technology allows for hands-free trailering. The Silverado is the only truck with such capability. Most people buy a pickup truck because they need to use the bed for hauling stuff, and the Silverado has the best truck bed around. It has best-in-class 89.1 cubic feet of standard cargo volume and 12 tie-downs standard. Of course, there is also the optional MultiFlex tailgate. The Silverado is available with eight cameras with up to 14 views, including transparent trailer.

And if you like to take your truck off road then the Silverado is the truck for you. The Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss and ZR2 are all factory lifted trucks. The Custom Trail Boss is the most affordable factory-lifted, full-size, light-duty truck in the industry. The truck has the Z71 suspension that includes a 2-inch factory lift.
