1971 Chevy C10

Tastefully modded 1971 Chevrolet truck nabs $20,000 at auction.

If there’s one thing we can never get enough of over here at Chevrolet Forum, it’s clean C10 pickups. These trucks have stood the test of time like few others and still look just as great today as they did back in their time. The other appealing thing about these trucks is that they look good stock or with a few mods. And this super clean, green 1971 Chevy C10 is one of the nicer ones we’ve seen in awhile.

The tastefully modded C10 recently sold for $20,000 at the 2017 Mecum auction in Indianapolis. And we’d say the new owner is a lucky person, because that price looks very reasonable for such a clean ride. The builder obviously spent a lot of time ensuring that every inch of the truck was polished and detailed. From the sanitary engine bay to the detailed interior, some quality work went into this C10 build.

The unique green paint looks great on the old truck, and thankfully much of the original trim is still in place. We’re not 100% sold on the use of a newer Chevy bed out back, but perhaps the original was too far gone to save. Either way, it doesn’t look bad. Just different.

The jewel of a motor is the trusty old 350 small block, backed up by an automatic transmission. All the modern niceties are here, including power steering, brakes, and air conditioning. Inside, the seats are covered in retro Houndstooth material, and there’s some cool detailing on the door panels.

Overall, this 1971 Chevy C10 looks like the perfect cruise night ride. It’s a mild build that will turn heads and get you around town without making a fuss. And to us, that’s what C10s are all about.
