Check out these fast and furiously cool TV series that love Chevys just as much as we do.

If you’re anything like us, you probably already watch plenty of automotive TV these days. You could almost call this the Golden Age of Gearhead TV. But there are so many TV shows geared toward car and truck enthusiasts that it’s hard to keep up with all of them. So to help you narrow things down a bit, we’ve put together a list of our five favorite TV shows that feature some great Chevy action. So get your DVR (and your snacks) ready.

Street Outlaws

If you like drag racing and Chevrolet, Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws is must-see TV, mainly because the show’s “Top Ten” fastest cars list is full of Bowties. From the “Murder Nova” to the “ElCo” and the Monte Carlo known as “Street Beast,” Chevy simply dominates the ranks of these street racers. And of course, everyone’s favorite is a Chevy C10 pickup known as the “Farm Truck.” But no matter who’s racing, Street Outlaws is one hour of pure, action-packed entertainment.

Bitchin’ Rides

Unlike most car shows on the tube today, Velocity’s Bitchin’ Rides doesn’t rely on any annoying “time crunch” drama. The crew at Kindig-It Design simply takes their time building some of the highest quality hot rods you’ll ever see. Even if it takes a year or more to put together, like their restoration of an original GM Futureliner. But the end result is always amazing and unique, like this “Fleetside” Chevy truck they built out of a Suburban.

Chasing Classic Cars

Velocity’s Chasing Classic Cars is a show specifically made for car guys, the kind that will easily bore your non-car loving friends. It centers around Wayne Carini and his endless quest to, well, chase classic cars. Wayne seeks out the rarest of the rare, no matter what the make. In some cases he keeps them, sometimes he fixes them up and sells them. But every episode is packed full of the kind of stuff that will keep any true car geek glued to the TV.

Counting Cars

History Channel’s Counting Cars features what is easily the most enigmatic cast of any car show. From Count’s Kustoms owner Danny “The Count” Koker to the always interesting “Horny Mike,” you won’t find a more entertaining group than this one. The cars they put out are rather eclectic in taste, but hey, this is Las Vegas. And Koker is one of the most passionate car guys you’ll ever meet. That much is evident in this video, as he tells the story of his beloved Chevy Cab-Over truck.

Garage Squad

Garage Squad is a lot different than most car shows, mainly because it’s packed with tons of actual DIY goodness. The cast travels the country, helping folks with long neglected projects get their rides back on the road. Every episode is chock full of great information and usually a good backstory on the vehicles and owners. And of course, a great number of episodes feature sweet Chevy’s, like this awesome 1974 pickup.
