1967 Camaro SS: Fully Restored and Headed to Auction

1967 Camaro SS

Want a fully-restored 1967 Camaro SS at a fraction of the build cost?

Restorations are tricky business. If you’re talented enough to do it yourself, you can save lots of money but put in lots of time. If you farm the job out to a professional, you can expect to simply hand over a blank check. But either way you go, you’ll never recoup the time or the cost involved in the full on restoration of a classic car.

The other alternative, of course, is to buy a restored car and let the previous owner eat the loss. And if you’re in the market for a classic Camaro, we’ve got a perfect candidate for you. We spotted this 1967 Camaro SS in the Hemmings Classifieds, and it’s headed to auction in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on April 20 through the 22.

The nicely done Camaro comes with a full $50,000 in receipts – $36,000 of which was spent on body and paint. The rotisserie restoration was completed in 2011, and the car comes with receipts for everything. An original SS, the Camaro has a rebuilt 350/350 hp V8, 4-speed manual transmission, and 12 bolt rear Positraction rear end.

The quality of the restoration shines in the pictures provided, so we can believe the owner’s claim that the car has only been driven a few miles since. So if you covet an essentially new first gen Camaro but don’t want to shell out big bucks, this ’67 SS might be your ticket.
