Amazing Chevy Truck Graveyards Make Us Want to Go Pickin’
Rare and obscure GMC and Chevy truck examples are apparently all over the place in the fields of Georgia.
There’s just something alluring about traveling the country, looking for old trucks sitting in barns or fields. So intriguing, in fact, that many people make a living doing just that. They find old, forgotten vehicles, strike a deal, then flip them for profit. Or, in some instances, fix them up and restore them to their former glory. We’re not sure if Reddit user mediumbugger participates in any of that. But we do know that he loves to share pictures of the many Chevy truck graveyards he comes across.
Like the awesome image above, which he captured in Talmo, Georgia. We’re digging the classic Chevy truck in the middle, of course. But the GMC FC101 on the end is a pretty rare ride, too. You hardly ever see one in any kind of condition, which makes them pretty cool collectibles. That is, if you don’t mind their depressed value and the relative scarcity of parts.
And that’s just the start of the many, many cool Chevy truck finds the OP has come across. He also spotted this cool old AK-series Chevy truck peeking out from the woods. You don’t see a ton of these pickups, produced between 1941 and 1947 these days, either. But we can just imagine how cool this one would look with a total refresh. Or just keep the patina and fix up the drivetrain and you’d have an awesome ride!
And while we’re on the subject of rare and obscure pickups, how about this vintage GMC? The OP wagers that its’ a 1939 or 1940, but it’s hard to tell with the missing grille. Either way, it’s undoubtedly cool. And it’s just one of the many awesome finds by the OP. So be sure and check them all out by heading over here!
