Medium-duty commercial Chevys aren’t normally prepared for private use so it’s rad to find this 1998 Kodiak tricked-out into a Harley-Davidson edition for sale. Later this month Barrett-Jackson is holding their Northeast 2016 auction where you’ll be able to bid on this custom two-door Chevy C8500. This auction’s lot details are once again slim for how customized it is though the few pictures make up for it, decent angles. Let’s tour this mega machine.

At an amazing mileage of 3,300 over 18 years is a little incomprehensible but understandable from data. Remarks say it had collision to its right side which I assume it was garaged for years. Sitting wrecked before the current owner bought low, did a frame-up restoration and is now selling the completed H-D inspired project. From the photos one can see this has been built up as a highway cruiser for road use. Thoughtfully updated like a Harley from the comfy interior coachwork to the show car paint job, road tires and the auxiliary light-littered lowered airdam in front says this hog owns the road.

Propelling it’s rear dualies is a turbocharged 6.6-liter straight-six Caterpillar diesel engine bolted to a 5-speed manual gearbox guaranteed to grind out over 400 lb-ft of torque. This one’s specific output wasn’t listed but I bet it fires hot out the single-sided H-D inspired exhaust canon. The engine photo shows the compartment isn’t dealer-new like the exterior. Although its massive OEM brake booster and radiator is proper at keeping that big six cool and truck in-control. Also adding to it’s commercial work-ethic is Chevy’s robust ladder frame, big body bed and durable solid axles designed to tow ultra heavy freight and carry massive payloads. If you’ve been in the market for a show truck to lead out Sturgis bike rallies or a powerful work truck this is the go-to turnkey vehicle for you.
