Blown and Nitrous’d Chevy Blazer Is the Definition of Awesome

By -

The most insane Chevy Blazer we’ve ever seen rips off consistent 8-second passes and some amazing wheelies.

We’ve seen a lot of cool trucks in our time, without a doubt. But this incredible machine you see popping massive wheelies in front of you might just be the coolest thing we’ve ever come across. Yes, this Chevy Blazer has been transformed into a drag racing terror. One capable of ripping off 9-second passes in the quarter-mile at less than full strength. It’s obviously the work of a mad man. But never has crazy been so very cool.

Taking a classic convertible Chevy Blazer and stuffing it with insane levels of Whipple supercharged, nitrous-fed horsepower isn’t for the meek, after all. Especially when you don’t even have any wheelie bars on the thing. Despite the total lack of weight out back, this Chevy Blazer loads up its massive rear tires and stands on them with no problem. But at least there’s a (NHRA-mandated) full cage in case something goes wrong!

The madness of this Chevy Blazer is on full display in this video from YouTuber BigKleib34, who caught it in action at Holley’s LS Fest. Aside from looking and sounding the business, the topless ‘ute lays down a seriously impressive pass in the mid-9s. And that’s running on just seven cylinders.

Once the crew gets their little issue sorted out, they lay down an incredible 8.98-second pass at 150 mph. All with the front wheels in the air for at least 60 feet. They follow that up with an even faster 8.94, then an 8.91. All with a brand new setup the team is still trying to sort out. So you can bet we’ll be following along to see just how fast this insane Chevy Blazer turns out when it’s all dialed in!
