Celebrate ‘100 Years of Chevy Trucks,’ Aug. 3-5 in Pennsylvania
Carlisle Truck Nationals also features monster truck show, salute to veterans, and the ‘Ms. Carlisle Truck Nationals’ contest.
Reportedly, over 35,000 people attend the Carlisle Truck Nationals each summer, and this year there will again be plenty to see at the event, which happens August 3 through 5 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania.
Of special interest for Chevy lovers is the “100 Years of Chevrolet Trucks” display celebrating the heritage of the iconic brand. Other truck entertainment includes a “Tallest Truck” contes and a monster truck legends jam.
On August 4, the event will pay tribute to our military veterans and first responders at the “Blackout” showcase. The star of the showcase is a military-themed custom 1999 Freightliner Classic truck called “Blackout,” which is adorned with flags and graphics that offer a somber reminder to those who gave all for the U.S.A. In addition, the Carlisle Truck Nationals this year welcomes the “Wall of Honor,” a showcase of fallen service members from the Mid-Atlantic region (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey) as well as Washington D.C.
Other activities for 2018 include the “Timberworks Lumberjack Show,” where timbersports athletes take the stage for axe throwing, log rolling, and chainsaw carving. Also on tap will be live Southern and classic rock music and, of course, the “Ms. Carlisle Truck Nationals” contest. Get full details on the Carlisle Truck Nationals here.
