Chevy S-10 Crew Cab Is One of a Kind — Literally

Chevy S-10

Chevy never built a crew cab S-10 pickup. But considering how cool this one-off custom build is, maybe they should have.

As much as we like the new Colorado, we still miss the Chevy S-10. There was just something infinitely cool about that little compact pickup. And sadly, you just can’t buy anything like it anymore. There was a time when it seemed like every other vehicle you passed on the road was an S-10, but times gradually changed. People moved away from these small, handy pickups and graduated to full-size ones. But maybe if Chevrolet had built a crew cab S-10, that wouldn’t have happened!

Of course, Chevy never did such a thing. So if you did a double take when you saw this quad door pickup, we wouldn’t blame you. We did the same thing when we spotted this one-of-a-kind ride over at The Collector Car Network. Of course, if you wanted “extra” passenger space in the S-10, you were forced to opt for an extended cab. But those useless jump seats in the back were only big enough for tiny children and pets. Thus, the owner of this one-off ride made his own proper crew cab!

Fitted with a long bed, this is probably also the longest S-10 in existence. The frame had to be extended to accommodate both, as did the cab, obviously. And in the meantime, this unique truck also underwent a full restoration. So not only is it the most unique S-10 on the planet, it’s also probably the nicest. And outside of the extra girth, everything is bone stock. Including the 4.3-liter V6 under the hood.

Sporting SS badges, aftermarket wheels, and some black stripes, this elongated Chevy S-10 is actually pretty darn cool. And you’d have to imagine that if Chevy ever brought back their beloved pickup, they’d built one just like this!
