Unstoppable Chevy Silverado vs. Merciless Mud Pit!

Breathing through a PVC-pipe snorkel, Silverado stepside makes a big splash with the other off-roaders.

It’s time to dive into another episode of “Off-roading Wednesdays”! If you need some muddy, dusty, rocky action featuring your favorite Chevy trucks and SUVs, we got the goods to brighten your day!

This Wednesday, we present this video from YouTube channel NewRoad Adventures, where a few off-road warriors were having a good time in the watery mud pit somewhere in the country. The star of this show, of course, is a Silverado stepside.

Silverado Mudpit

The video opens with a modded Jeep already in the pit when suddenly, the red Silverado dives right in. The owner equipped his rig with a snorkel he found in the plumbing section of his big-box hardware store, which works as well as an aftermarket unit. While said Jeep backs it up, the Chevy steams on ahead to the next pit.

Here’s another angle of the majestic Silverado’s dive into the pit, sans the Jeep. The rig bounces and jostles through the first section, then is captured climbing up the other way through a different pit. The steam clouds are tremendous, and the mud is exquisite.

With a bit of Quiet Riot blaring in the background, the muddy Silverado keeps chuggin’ along. This time, it dove straight into the second pit, creating a mud tsunami ahead of the front tires. It’s just like a “Like a Rock” commercial, only without Bob Seger; we do wonder if that song was played at the event, though.

From there, the ride rolled off to the right (our left), trailing a nice cloud of steam from underneath the lifted chassis.

The stepside Silverado wasn’t the only Chevy mixing it up in the mud. A black S10 took its turn in the action, its window proudly proclaiming “Mud is Life.” The little monster protected the front of its engine with a metal plate, leaving the fenders and grille behind for improved cooling.

Right behind it, of course, is the red Silverado, ready to go again in the mud. It’s always a party when Chevy turns up to play.
