Corvette Carbon 65 Edition

Chevrolet gives us the best anniversary present ever – the 2018 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition.

2018 marks the 65th anniversary of America’s sports car – the Corvette. And instead of giving us some sort of engraved platter or jewelry, we’re getting something much, much cooler. Because Chevy is dropping a brand new, special edition dubbed the Corvette Carbon 65 Edition this year. A grand total of 650 numbered vehicles will be offered globally.

The special carbon package is only available on 2018 Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models and adds $15,000 to the car’s cost. So what does that significant chunk of change get you? As you might guess, the car comes adorned with a number of carbon fiber pieces.

On coupes, the ground effects, hood section, quarter intake ducts, and roof are all visible carbon fiber. Convertibles use the lightweight material on their tonneau cover. Both coupes and convertibles come with carbon fiber spoilers, steering wheel rim, and interior trim. And all 650 cars are available in any color you want so long as it’s Ceramic Matrix Gray.

Unique fender stripes and Carbon labeled door graphics, sill plates, and badges make it pretty clear what you’re driving. Black wheels come in Cup-style on the Grand Sport and Blade-style on the Z06. All feature center caps with the Carbon logo, and brake calipers are painted blue. All in all, it’s a very attractive package for an already attractive car.

Considering the collectible nature of the Corvette Carbon 65 Edition and its limited production, you might want to act fast, however. Chevy hasn’t announced the exact release date for the car, but you’ll be able to check order code Z30 sometime this summer.
