Gorgeous 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST Sells for $25K

Under the hood of this 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST, we find a 396 cubic inch V8 motor.

The Chevrolet C20 is not only a cool vintage pickup, but it is also one of the most practical trucks of its era. Last month, we discussed the Chevy C20 Longhorn camper, refurbished in 2012 and received a slew of modifications, including a flame thrower. A comparatively subtle example of the nameplate was recently sold via the popular auction site- Bring a Trailer. This 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST was up for sale with no reserve for those unfamiliar with the auction.

General Motors first announced the second-gen C/K pickup trucks back in 1967. These offerings were much more durable than their predecessors and received improvements to enhance durability and comfort. The pickup weighs nearly three-quarter-ton and is a top-end CST variant with a long bed option. The truck sold for $25,000 with just 44K miles on the odometer.

The truck came into its previous owner’s possession back in 2021 after it was subject to an elaborate refurbishment process. Following this, the pickup also received an engine rebuilt earlier this year. As a result, a 396 cubic inch V8 powerplant now propels this beautiful vintage pickup. The 6.5-liter motor comes complete with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, chrome valve covers, and air intake.

The chrome bumpers of the 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST pickup truck offer a striking contrast to the truck’s beautiful dark blue paint job.

A three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic gearbox sends power to the rear wheels via a Dana 60 axle. This truck also has a power steering, and the stopping power comes from a power brake setup. As for creature comforts, this 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST gets a heater/defroster. A period-accurate grille flaunts a bright white finish and is part of the ensemble.

The truck rides on a set of 16-inch rims with sport Chevrolet hubcaps. The wheels were also painted to match the rest of the bodywork. A set of 245/75 Firestone Transforce HT tires envelop the gorgeous rims. Inside the cabin, blue vinyl upholstery adorns most surfaces, including the door panels, buddy bucket front seat, and dashboard.
