Here’s a Steal for Classic Corvette Fans
My guess is that even at $400,000, this 1968 L88 Corvette listed on ProTeamCorvette.com won’t be around long, given the fact that a ’67 model went for $2.3 million back in 2013.
The L88s were only available for three years and only 216 of them were built. In other words: this is a pretty good catch for anyone who has the cash.
Essentially a street-legal racing car, the L88 was equipped with a competition-ready 427 cubic-inch engine, the signature L88 hood scoop, a heavy-duty M22 four-speed transmission, J56 heavy-duty brake calipers, J50 power brakes, and a number of other performance upgrades.
In fact, the L88 was held in such high esteem as a pure performance ‘Vette that pedestrian options like A/C, power-steering, or even a radio weren’t available in the car when it was produced. This one features an unrestored Polar White exterior with a blue interior and comes with all the documentation that speaks to its rarity as one of only a few of its kind.
