Introducing the Newest Chevy Pickup Truck: The Compromise

When you want the power and capability of a pickup, combined with the wind in your hair.

When we came across this modded truck on Reddit, we were perplexed. Was this mod the result of a compromise? “Okay hon, we can get a truck for me, and a convertible for you!” In what universe would someone want to drive a convertible pickup truck?

Maybe this mod was the result of a rollover that was never repaired? Was it a tribute to the Dodge Dakota? We did a little investigating and got some answers, and frankly, a few more questions.

According to Redditor MyHeadHurtsALot the Truckvertible belongs to his friend Bobby. And yes, it started out as a rollover situation. “He rolled it a few years ago, and took a Sawzall to it, we call it the ‘Convertimax.'”

We’re really not sure about this, Bobby. As a goof, sure, why not. Although maybe he could smooth it out a little more, really commit to the open air pickup theme? But it seems a little sacrilegious to do this to a fine Chevy truck.

What do you think of the convertible pickup; is it a mod gone wrong or a stroke of genius?
