Chevy Truck Hauler

If one singular picture could symbolize a dream for Chevy truck lovers, this is it.

Chances are, if you’re reading this, you own some sort of Chevy truck. Whether that be a classic curvy ’50s model, a square-body from the ’70s or ’80s, or maybe a brand new one. You’ve probably also owned more than one such pickup in your lifetime. But there are a lucky few out there that own more than one pickup. It might look like a long shot to most, but Reddit user SarkDumont is quite literally living every Chevy fan’s dream.

Obviously, you have to have something newer that’s reliable and capable of towing and hauling. Something you can take the family on road trips in without having to listen to them complain. Alright, maybe they’re going to complain no matter what. But using that newish Chevy truck to haul home a classic 1955 pickup you’re going to restore? Like the commercials say, that’s priceless.

But that’s exactly what the OP here did. Which shouldn’t surprise us, really, given his background with Bow Ties. He also shared a pic of he and his dad back in the ’90s, posing in front of a ’58 Chevy. And that was precisely the car that he learned to wrench on, too.

1958 Chevrolet

“He taught me, but I built the engine in that car. It was a 1961 348 ci with a Holley 4-barrel carb. The 348 was the little brother to the 409 made famous by the Beach Boys song. It was a gas hog. I once had it up to 120 mph and my friend swore he could see the fuel gauge dropping.”

Thus, it seems like this classic Chevy truck is in good hands. And we’ll be looking forward to watching this new/old Chevy truck duo when the ’55 is finished and on its way to some car shows!
