Default 1988 K1500 5.7 crank but no start problem

I have been a Chevy guy all my life and had many trucks, but this issue is kicking my butt! This is a project tuck, so it has been setting for a while. I had it running in the drive way one day and it sounded great. It just shut off and would not start back up. Listed below are what I have done.

Verified fuel in tank
poured fuel into intake and it will start and run
do not think fuel pump is working ( removed lines and got no fuel to TBI)
Added external electric fuel pump to verify pump in tank is bad, fuel to TBI but nothing out of injectors
Checked all fuses,

I am stumped, any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Try a new ICM in the distributor - I am on my 3rd for my 93 suburban. Each time could start while adding fuel thru throttle body like you did but injectors don't go.
