1992 c1500 motor swap help

Default 1992 c1500 motor swap help

I have a 1992 c1500 2wd originaly with the v6 4.3L the original computer was serv no 16144268 prom id aulf The v6 locked up so i droped in a 5.7 350 tbi motor out of a 1995 I removed the doner computer from the doner truck but the computer wouldnt physicaly fit the connectors were diffrent ( had 2 equal sized blue and red connectors) so i left the originall v6 computer in it and the truck will start for a few seconds then stall but can keep running if i use starting fluid
yesterday i went to the junkyard and bought a computer out of a 1992 chevy c1500 with a 5.7 serv no 1227747 prom id arjt the computer swaped into the original harness but the truck wont even start at all with this computer
does anywone know if the wiring harness is pinned diffrently betwwen the v6 and v8 computers any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

would it be easier to get the correct harness from the junkyard or pin my harness diffrently
