1993 Chevy C1500 no heat
Hi, my name is Wil. My truck is a 93 chevy c1500 xcsb 5.7 Lt. Everything works for the heat and ac except I don't have any coolant reaching the heater core. I know that someone had the intake off, could they have put the gaskets on wrong? Would the wrong water pump cause my problem? I know that the water pump is reverse rotation. My logic makes sense to me, what about the rest of the chevy community? Can anyone please help me?
It’s absolutely possible to install the intake gaskets incorrectly if you’re not paying attention.
Remove the hose from the fitting on the intake and peek inside it using a mirror or bore scope - if there’s little or no signs of coolant, it’s likely the gaskets were installed wrong or something else is plugging the passages.

In addition to what Gumby22 posted, get a good pressure nozzle and flush your radiator core out at high pressures, The reason I don't have issues like this is I run the heater hot as hell during hot weather. It just sits there corroding away if you don't do so. Same goes for the A/C in winter, I want to keep that A/C compressor lubricated and the evaporator blown out. Repairing an Evaporator gets real expensive, located in the climate-control box underneath your dash,
