1995 Chevy Silverado cranks and firing and getting fuel but doesn't start
My 95 Silverado ran fine left it sitting over the weekend and it was a rainy one so when I started it it missed and popped so figured moisture was in distributor cap. Next day started when I would accelerate it would pop and crack. I started several times would idle fine when accelerated would crack and pop so change distributor cap plug wires rotary button plugs trucks getting fire to the plugs getting fuel but will not start is it possible that it is the crank sensor gone bad?
Sounds like it might have been running lean and now isn’t getting enough fuel to start.
Check fuel pressure and volume.
Pressure at key on, engine off should be approx 10 PSI and hold for at least a few minutes before bleeding down. Immediate pressure loss indicates a faulty pump or FPR.
Volume - pump should flow at least 1 pint in 30 seconds - jumper the fuel pump relay to perform this test.
Adapters to check pressure and volume are necessary as these trucks weren’t equipped with a test port.
Next step depends on results of these tests.
