Default 1995 K1500 transmission removal

I probably already know the answer after reviewing several videos ( but not my Model Year specific) but I am hoping that I missed something. My clutch pack is worn out on my 5 speed manual transmission. Videos indicate that I must remove transmission AND bellhousing as a unit because there is a C clip connecting the two on the inside of bellhousing/transmission. That design forces me to buy a transmission jack. There is no way that I'd trust myself balancing and removing the complete unit with a traditional floor jack, as I have on earlier clutch replacements. Help!

Yes it is one piece. The NV3500 transmission doesn't have a flat bottom so while I have done it a few times with a floor jack, a transmission jack would be a lot easier way to go.
