1997 5.7L vortec sbc z71 scan tool limitations?
I purchased a 1997 5.7L z71. Supposed to be a newer engine with roughly 40,000 miles on it. Engine feels strong but the whole vehicle needs maintenance updates. To begin this journey I am considering purchasing a bi-directional scan tool. What are the limitations on a scan tool with this older PCM? How much scan tool will be useful? I want to check the condition of all sensors and electrical system. Also where can I get access to factory service manuals?
