Hello,
Looking for advice on my problem; Replaced gas tank and fuel pump on a 1998 Chevy Silverado, 5.7. I can hear the pump prime for about 3 seconds before cranking. I have gas spray out if I press the valve on top of the engine. I have spark. Truck cranks but will not start. Was a good runner before the tank replacement, so I feel its something I did with tank replacement but cant figure out why. Any suggestions are appreciated.

 

Might just be a bad fuel pump made is Asia. Need to check fuel pressures, clean MAF and use a code reader for OBD II codes.

know you said it was a good runner before you messed with the tank/punp but why did you do this?

have you tried to start it on starting fluid?
