Default 4l60e Help

From the 1998, 2 plug

From the 2004
What can I do about this, was told I needed a 99 to 05 tranny we’re my 98 is late year. I’ve already put two transmissions in it and figured out that I got a electrical problem, same with the both 1st 2nd and reverse, but is there anything I can do to put the 04 one in my 98? Is there a standalone harness I can use or can I buy the 2 plug box for the 04

I can't make out what you are asking.. I'm sorry. I've read through it twice, and just cannot seem to understand what you are trying to communicate. Too much jumbled information. What year is YOUR vehicle? What engine do YOU have?
If you have a 1998 vehicle with the 5.7 GEn 1 then you need a 1996 through 1998 transmission. (1995 tranny is a completely different animal due to wiring inside and will ONLY WORK ON 1995 vehicle-unless you change the 3-2 timing control solenoid to the later version)
If you have a 1999 through 2006 with the LS engine in 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 Then you need a 1999 through 2006 tranny Green or gray connector on the outside
If you have a 2007 through 2008 with the LS engine in 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 Then you need a 2007 or 2008 tranny Black connector on the outside
If you have a 2009 through 2013 with the LS engine in 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 Then you need a 2009 through 2013 tranny Baby blue connector on the outside

If you are asking about the MLPS-manual lever position sensor, or neutral safety switch, either the two plug style or the one plug style can be installed on ANY 4L60E that has the threaded bosses to receive them. Both styles of MLPS are universal in essence.. If I could understand what you are wanting/needing, I could give you more direct, or better, answers.. But I'm still not sure what you want.

Things to watch out for... LS style transmissions have an extra bolt hole at the 12 O' Clock position on the bell housing... The 1998 and earlier DO NOT HAVE THAT HOLE. The difference here is the bolt hole spacing on the torque converter where it mates to the flywheel. This is the reason you must pay very careful attention to what YEAR and what ENGINE you have so that you can get the right one. It occurs to me you are asking about the neutral switch due to the question at the end about the wiring.. Just unbolt the MLPS that's on your trans, and put the one ON the trans that mates up with your existing wiring harness. As long as you get the right trans installed, the MLPS can be swapped.
