Pump grenaded

We rebuilt the transmission everything inside is new
We couldn't use the 1993 pump body due to damage from pump internals breaking


We used a pump body from a 700R4

After putting into truck
We have Reverse and 1st and a smooth shift to 2nd
The truck will red line second gear and will not shift from it even on a manual shift

Could the 700r4 pump cause this?
