Default 93 K1500 5.7 manual transmission unused plugs

Does anyone know what these two plugs in the picture are for? They’re not connected to anything.

What are these two connectors not plugged into anything for?

The round one looks like the AC pressure switch on the back of the compressor.

The other looks like it could’ve been for the EVAP purge valve.

hey Gumby22 thanks for the tip, in fact the round one is for the a/c pressure switch that supposed to go on the back upper part of the a/c compressor. Looks like the prior owner was doing to some work with the a/c because the compressor looks very new and the lines that bolt to the back of it are disconnected, also, the pressure switch is missing since new compressors don’t seem to come with it so I’ll have to get a switch, install it and then I can plug that connector to it.

The orange plug is still a mystery though. Were you referring to the evap solenoid? If so, that one already has a connector plugged to it. If not, could you tell me where the evap purge valve is?

thanks again

The EVAP purge solenoid is located somewhere between the charcoal canister at the front driver side of the engine bay and the intake manifold. There were a lot of changes to the location during this era of manufacture so I can’t say exactly where it is on your truck, but if there’s a solenoid valve with the line from the canister hooked up to it, that’s what you’re looking for.

If that’s not the plug for the purge valve, it’s possible it was for an A.I.R. (smog) pump that has since been deleted by a PO.
