Default 94 Silverado won’t start

I wish I knew more about vehicles, and my Chevy truck is testing my lack of knowledge and money. Drove it to town ,made a stop, returned and tried to start truck. Dead. A guy gives me a jump, nope. I end up having it towed home. We replaced the starter, by the way, when I tried to start it in town just clicks. But after new starter, no sound, although everything was working ( lights windows etc) battery and cables fine, new starter and celinoide fine, ignition switch replaced 9 months ago. Nobody can find fuse box under hood. This is a great truck runs like a top with low mileage, but this is insanity . I have noticed a wire could be unhooked from where it’s supposed to be, and I am not happy about taking it back to mechanic, too much money. If anyone has any ideas…please help

If it's like my 93 fuses are at driver's left knee by the ebrake release lever
Maybe a fuseble link off battery??

yes I know where the fuses are in the cabin, and I have been reading a lot about fusible links, I know where some of them are on the firewall but I wouldn’t have a clue how to check them
