94 silverado z71 4x4 indicator lighting wiring
Hello, I Have an issue with my truck. Its manual shifter for the 4x4. So when you put it in 4H the 4x4 light on floor will not come on. I got under the truck checked the transfer case switch connector and its getting power ground and signal on all 3 wires, replaced switch still nothing. Went and checked the front thermal actuator and it was getting power and ground also so I replaced that too and still no light. Checked all fuses and were fine. Removed the center console for the 4x4 and replaced bulbs and still nothing. Checked power and ground at the 4x4 light and it only had ground at the black wire and no power at white wire. My question is where does this white wire go to so I can find if it's open somewhere. Its def not getting power at the connector to make the light bulb turn on when 4x4 is engaged. Anyone have a diagram?

If I remember correctly the switch that turns the light on is inside the housing for the actuator/clutch gear assembly. It has its own wiring separate from the actuator. It doesn’t kick the light on till the clutch gear is fully engaged. Could be a problem with the switch/wiring could be that the clutch gear isn’t engaging.
is it inside of the front axle? This is a 94 k1500 z71. Maybe I missed it. That 3 pin looks like the one I saw. Maybe I should follow that and try using 3 wires on it to trick the light to see if it comes on
it's a 3 wire connector for that sensor but at the other end I only see 2 wires and cant find another wire hanging around anywhere and there is also only 2 terminals in the other end.
okay I found that sensor. Its right next to the thermal actuator it was caked with mud couldn't see it

I jumped the connector going to harness of vehicle and light came on inside truck I guess the indicator switch is theculprit. Thanks!
Are you 100% sure your front diff is locking in. The light won’t come on unless it does. I know of a few issues that can keep it from engaging even if the actuator is good.
not 100% sure. My buddy has my Jack so I cant lift it up to try the 4x4. I did find a cut wire at that 3 pin so I will try to reconnect it and then connect the 2 connectors and try it again but it's too dark right now. I will update you guys
