Default 97 chevy c1500 4.3 no injector pulse

fuse box was stolen out of the truck from under the hood. i relaced the fuse box, but cannot get the truck to start. i have good compression, good spark and it will sputter when i spray ether. there is 12v on the pink wire for the cam sensor on the back of the distributor. i have no fuel in the cylinders and have 60psi fuel pressure.

The cam sensor and injectors are on separate fuses - check for power on the pink wires at the injector connector - they are powered by fuse ECM 1 (20A).

Was the replacement fuse box new or used? If used, it may be configured for different circuits even if it’s technically supposed to be a match. The parts interchange software at salvage yards has its limits.

I tested the wires at the injectors and found that all are showing ground, the fuse box was brought to me, and stated that it was for this truck. but it has some wiring differences, so far everything is working as it should minus my injector problem.

What do you mean “showing ground”? If the pink wires have continuity to ground then there’s a damaged section of harness or the replacement fuse block isn’t configured correctly.

I thought all those systems were ran through the ecm not fuse box through the passenger side fitewall. Granted I'm used to working on the 94 and earlier with the TBIs so this may be 100% incorrect

The control side of the circuit (for injectors, it’s the ground side) is what the ECM uses to pulse the injectors; but the injectors are still fed battery voltage from the fuse box via ignition switch and/or relays.

This is true for OBD1 (95 and older) or OBD2 (96 and newer). Beginning in 96, GM relocated the ECM to the engine bay in front of the master cylinder.
