Exclamation Aftermarket Temperature Sensor

Where is the best place to run an aftermarket temperature sensor from front of motor to inside the cab through the firewall on my 1992 Silverado??

I always try not to drill any holes if at all possible. Try and push the wire through where there is an existing pack of wires without damaging the grommet. I have been able to do this the few times I tried it. If you are replacing the old sensor, use the wire from the old one.

Not replacing old sensor putting aftermarket with its own cable it's got about a 5/8 adapter on the end and I haven't found anything for it to pass through. If I'm missing something let me know. Thanks

You didn't say it was a mechanical gauge. That's different. You will have to drill a hole, but make sure it is in a spot with nothing else in the way and also make sure you seal it real well to keep water out.

Ok that's what I was going for. Looked under over and didn't see anything. Just thought I would ask before I did it. Yes you are absolutely correct I didn't specify what type of gauge. I apologize. Thank You!
