Default broken sensor ID

hey guys i'm having trouble confirming that this sensor is actually what i think it is before i go ahead and order it.

it screws into the block on the driver's side between exhaust 1 and 3 between the manifold. i initially thought it was a temp sensor but most videos i've seen has it coming from the top of the block in front of the intake manifold?

picture for reference

The top sensor by the thermostat housing is a two wire coolant temp switch for computer. The one in pic, on side of block is usually a one wire temperature sensor for your temp gauge on dash.
