Suburban 95 454. Much media chatter on oil catch can. Thoughts on efficacy [does it work] if so suggestions on any particular unit [appears a band wagon everyone's jumped on].

i believe they were intended to keep oil from hitting the throttle body.i saw a couple of videos on youtube about these.gm routed hoses in the throttle body to evacuate fumes from the crank case but for some reason alot of oil gets into the throttlebody causing an positive pitch on the throttle blade and coating in the intake etc etc.so installing a catch can eliminates this
