Chassis swaps

Can a 1988 c1500 single cab short bed chassis fit on a 1997 c1500 single cab short bed. Is it a direct swap or will fabrications need to be made.

I would say yes, BUT, there was a cab floor change I'm thinking in 96 and I'm not sure how that might affect things. Since they are both single cabs I think you should be good to go, the beds for sure will swap.
