Post Convenience Center

This is a stumper for many folks. Here's what I know. It is a connection block under the left-hand dash near the floor. It is not the fuse panel.

What I don't know is how it is fused. Also, why is it called by that name? Can anyone shed light on this?

the convenience center is just that...a convenient place to work on the electrical system. The convenience center gets it fused power from the fuse block. The leads from the fuse block go to the convenience center. From there the various circuits are ran from the convenience center to the various components of the truck, like the horn, the wiper motor, the rear lights, etc. The convenience center gives you a convenient place to disconnect and trouble shoot electrical problems, or Alternatively, a convenient place to connect any aftermarket circuits you may wish to add on later on without having to splice directly into the fuse box, but still providing you with fused power to run you added components.

This is how I've always used it on my vehicles anyway...
