engine oil cooler delete
1995 K2500 454.
Suffered the dreaded plastic clip failure. Installed rebuilt 454, didnt reinstall cooler lines. Has the horizontal filter [it's 4x4 of course] Have only driven maybe 500 miles in 4 yrs since the swap. While warming it other day [was maybe 25 degrees] noticed oil pool rear of pan [never had an oil leak of any sort save for the clip failure] Little research have done appears not an uncommon occurrence. [obviously theres inherent problems with the design]
What is surprising is the severity of the leak. Pulling into the driveway a literal steam of oil appeared. Thankfully once not turning over it ceases to leak.
Advice/ideas on permanent solution would be much appreciated.
Keith
