I have a 1997 Silverado short bed and the truck is in great shape. Motor swap not in the cards at this time. I've had several people tell me upgrading the cam would screw up the computer. I'm not a mechanic so looking for advice from people who really know. Love my truck and just want some more pep.

 

The 5.0 never made sense to me. The 5.7 has more power, same gas milage. A cam would help but I would live with it or sell it.
