When I ground out the yellow/Black wire for the 2-3 solenoid I can hear the solenoid clicking under the truck. So I know there can not be bad wiring from the VCM to the solenoid. The problem must be the VCM.

11.96v at the trans connector and 11.95v at the ignition switch. So the wiring is good. I can ground out the control wire going from the computer to the transmission and the solenoid clicks so all wiring to the transmission is good. This leaves only the VCM. Does anyone know how to test if the VCM is monitoring the solenoid properly? Or can I confidently change the VCM at this point and the problem will be fixed.

Changing the PCM fixed the problem. Iv been driving the truck for 2 days now and it has not gone into "limp mode".
